The installation process starts with determining the type of concrete you have, and what condition it is currently in. Depending on its hardness, moisture content and structural condition will determine how we handle the most important step in the process which is concrete preparation.
After four to six hours you can confidently walk on your new floor coating and after 24 hours you can park and drive on the coating. We know you will completely love your new concrete coated floor!
Installation of Concrete Floors In Six Easy Steps
STEP 1 - PREPARATION
Preparation includes shot blasting and/or diamond grinding. Dust is minimized by having all grinders hooked up to vacuum systems.
STEP 2 - CONCRETE RECONSTRUCTION
American Concrete Coatings menders and fillers are used to fix pits and cracks before the process begins.
STEP 3 - BASE COAT
American Concrete Coatings 100% solids, self-priming pure polyurea basecoat is mixed and applied.
STEP 4 - BROADCASTING THE CHIP
Immediately after the basecoat application, the chip is generously broadcast by hand, providing both color and texture to the floor.
STEP 5 - SCRAPING THE CHIP
Once the basecoat is fully cured the floor is scraped and vacuumed to remove any loose or vertical standing flakes.
STEP 6 - CLEAR COAT
The final step is to roll out the UV stable polyaspartic clear coat. The top coat is chemical, rust and abrasion resistant. It is also antimicrobial and antibacterial

We had American Concrete Coatings apply the Polyurea base coat, Domino vinyl flakes, and the Polyaspartic top coat to our three-stall garage in Aubrey, TX. We also had the verticals done in the garage and the one-foot area outside the garage. It turned out amazingly. After completing the ACC work, we had a friend trim the garage with white 4" PVC baseboards from Home Depot. I then caulked the top of the baseboards white and painted the red brick steps black.
